History
South Durham and Cleveland Netball Association was created by the Division of the Old Durham County in 1974.
There are now 35 Clubs competing across 4 affiliated Adult Winter leagues , 1 junior league and 5 adult summer leagues. We have excellent schools affiliation and a proactive County committee.
There is an England Netball development officer in place working alongside the committee to continue the growth of netball across the region.
Our aims are:
South Durham and Cleveland Netball Association was created by the Division of the Old Durham County in 1974. We are responsible for the area South of Peterlee, incorporating Teesside and Redcar and Cleveland.

- To Promote the sport of Netball in South Durham and Cleveland
- Providing opportunities for all to play, develop and achieve
- Delivering a range of league and tournament competition
- Support Umpires & Coaches in their development and progress
- Liaising with Schools to support the playing of netball
- Delivering a pathway of development in line with our governing body
- Support clubs in their establishment and development
- Promote the views of S D & C members at Regional and National levels
